Crafting Remembrance: Honouring the ANZAC Legacy Through Handmade Creations

Every year, on April 25th, New Zealand and Australia come together to remember the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of the ANZACs — the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. ANZAC Day is more than a date in our calendars. It’s a powerful reminder of unity, resilience, and the strength of community — values we also see reflected in the handmade world.

At The Craft Marketplace, we believe that creativity can be a quiet, powerful form of remembrance. This ANZAC weekend, we’re honouring the legacy of our soldiers by spotlighting makers who craft with heart, purpose, and history.

The Power of Handmade Remembrance

In a world of fast and mass-produced goods, handmade items carry a deeper story — just like the ANZAC legacy. Whether it’s a hand-stitched poppy, a candleholder to light at dawn, or a piece of art that reflects the spirit of endurance, these creations help keep the past alive in thoughtful, tangible ways.

Featured Creations From Our Marketplace

Instructions:

  4. (Optional) Attach a green felt leaf behind.
  5. Fix a pin at the back or thread with string to hang.

Wear it with pride or gift it to someone special.
