    These earrings are replicas of urchin shells and are just 7mm in diameter and made out of glass, so that the real shells can stay where they belong, on the beach. A little piece of fun and just a wee bit quirky, and they look just like a miniature version of the real thing.

    I have created these earrings with just the tiniest hint of sparkle, thanks to a sprinkling of mica fused on the outside surface of the glass.

    Daisies are a cheerful plant and they flower for many, many months, adding colour and life to any garden. These petite daisy post earrings have been created with this in mind, to look just like a miniature version of the real thing and to make you smile.

    These earrings are individually cast from powdered glass using a technique called pate-de-verre meaning “paste of glass.”

    This process creates three-dimensional items in glass without the use of high temperature molds. The glass layers are then fused together at around 700C, creating kiln formed fused glass.

  • Honeycomb and bee dangle earrings – fused glass

    Fun fact: Bees make a honeycomb out of wax as a place to keep their honey. A worker bee grows wax in its abdomen which appears as little spots. The bee pulls the wax off with its legs and chews it until it becomes soft. The wax is then used to make cells for the honeycomb. The hexagonal shapes of the honeycomb give the honeycomb its strength.
